This is your 30th Year KRHS76 Reunion Invitation!!!

The ongoing search for classmates still continues, but no further delay is possible, since the time to give a headcount to the Lakeview Inn is drawing VERY NEAR! Therefore, this should be the final postal mailing to all of you. Email contact will continue, as more activities are planned and we get more feedback.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST respond to this invitation to attend the reunion buffet!

PLEASE don’t fail to send your payment in on time, since personal funds are what have secured the Inn and must cover any shortfall. As folks on our email list already know, since the time of our previous mailing, an anonymous donor paid the “extra” costs of the reunion event, enabling a pricedrop; Your fee is only for the cost of the buffet itself; you pay nothing toward other expenses, like the DJ, possible video equipment rentals, etc. It is hoped this will enable more of you to come to the reunion than might otherwise have been able. We hope ALL of you can and will come!

(If any classmate is truly unable to pay the fee but would otherwise like to attend, I personally would like to hear from you to see if a way can be made for you to attend. This isn’t a guarantee; rather, an honest offer to assist. But again, you MUST respond so we can give an accurate count to the Lakeview. If you’re embarrassed to say you need help, don’t be. Many of us have been there at one time or another, and I don’t want timing to make you miss what could easily be the best night of the year!)

DISCLAIMER! Please remember that we will be guests of the Lakeview Inn that night, and we hope to have opportunity to be their guests again sometime. Let’s take care of their place and their people, and respect them well, in order to make an impression that makes them eager to host us again. Some requirements: No food or beverage is to be brought onto their premises. They will supply what is to be consumed there.

IS THAT ALL THERE IS?

Well, NO!... Glad you asked!! We are working on several other activities we hope will be enjoyed by many over several days. Some are still being planned and some may only come together in the very last days beforehand. Here is what has been worked out so far:

FRIDAY, July 28th, 6PM: BYO PIZZA NIGHT. FAMILIES INVITED! Informal gathering for pizza, subs, whatever you want to eat/drink; several good pizza restaurants nearby. Get reacquainted with old friends! ALL are gladly invited to come to James & Brooke Rines’ home at 51 Main Street, Center Ossipee, across from the elementary school. Deck—lawn—pool party. Garage & barn in case of rain. Big yard, tons of parking at school parking lot, above ground pool for those inclined to take a dip. Bring lawn chairs if you have them. Bring your eats, or come later if you just want to hang out.

SUNDAY, July 30th from Noon till whenever: BBQ/Grill Out FAMILIES INVITED!  66 Lyford Rd (formerly Old Governor’s Rd), Brookfield, NH, site of 1976 graduation party, former Porky Lineham home, owned by classmate Jane Carville/Nielsen and husband, Bob, who have generously offered to host this gathering. A large tent, tables, chairs, grill, and more will be ready to provide cover from sun or rain. A large lawn and yard will give us a nice family setting for cooking out, eating, playing games, hanging out, and having a great time getting reconnected. ALL ARE INVITED, families, friends, faculty, etc. Map/Directions to be provided at Lakeview Buffet. This will be BYO/Whatever to grill & drink, plus a side dish or two (salad, casserole, dessert, etc) to share in New England potluck fashion! To assist with provisions, supplies, or setup, please contact Jane, either at her home in NY (518) 270-8054, or in NH the week of the reunion (603) 522-5269.

There is NO CHARGE for the BBQ and we hope everyone will come. The goal is for maximum participation and attendance so WE ALL can have a great time together! While not required, it would be appreciated if you let us know you plan to attend. This will help in planning some of the incidentals. We will have paper goods, utensils, cups, etc on hand. Coolers of ice and/or soft drinks, water, etc are appreciated if you have them.

DONATIONS: If you would like to make a donation (to expenses for such extras as rentals for the BBQ gathering, mailing costs, or other incidentals that are incurred in having the reunion), you may add any amount you wish to your check for the Lakeview Inn Barn buffet. All extra proceeds will be used first to cover expenses for this reunion, then if any funds remain, they will stay in the account for future reunion events. This is completely voluntary, but since some have asked about how to do this, this is one way you can give. You can also at any time send a check made out to KRHS76 if you desire. Maybe the next reunion won’t be so long in coming; say, in another FIVE years this time??

ONE LAST THING: See website at  www.krhs76.com   (just  krhs76.com  works fine too)

Go to the class website for updates and information often. The site is just underway, but as time goes on, you’ll find pictures, information about reunion activities, how to find someone, how to help us find someone, and much more. Save this site in your Favorites or Bookmarks and revisit often. I intend to make this a worthwhile and informative site, and one you’ll be glad to visit from time to time! One goal:I hope to work my way through our class, creating bios of any classmates willing to be featured, (or you can write your own.) We have LOTS of interesting stories among us that are worth telling.
